We recently found out that Phil has won a Bronze award for People Photographer of the Year at the One Eyeland Awards.
It’s a year since Phil travelled to India for a charity project and here are a few of the images he captured which were also entered into awards. He was also lucky to be sponsored by Peartree rental for a Leaf Aptus Digital Back. He loved it so much he bought one as soon as he returned!
He has also got another project booked to shoot there in early May, so we’re excited to see the images he returns with this time.

We recently came across this wonderful company called Timbergram - who create bespoke screen printed wooden cards, and thought it would be great idea to create our own version for Christmas 2012. Phil created a winter themed Rorschach for the image, which was screen printed in one colour to resemble the ink blot style.
Hopefully all those that received will treasure their’s for more than Christmas.

Another year past and some fantastic work made it through to the 2012 Association of Photographers Awards. Congratulations to some of our favourites – Julia Fullerton -Batten and James Day’s images were beautiful and very inspiring.
Phil and Dave’s India project made it down to the last three in the Moving image section, and although they didn’t win best in category, to be chosen as one of the top three videos was a privilege in itself.
We had a great night and met up with lots of good friends – here is a selection of some of the uncensored images !

Here at Shadowplay we are always up for meeting new people, getting new young creatives in for work experience and internships and generally sharing our creativity! But a few weeks ago we had a lovely pair of students in from Balcarras School, who blew us away with their inspiration and eagerness to learn. We thought it would be great to share with you some of the fantastic work they created whilst with us at Shadowplay.
Thank you Ellie Fletcher and Lily Sey! You were awesome!

Thank you to everybody who made the launch possible, it was good to see some familiar faces along with some new. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves, and liked the images gallery and the new website. We couldn’t of asked for a better turnout and all the hard work leading up to the launch seems very much worth it now.
